All MYFA cheer protocols are guided by our governing bodies: Wadsworth Youth Football Association, Ohio High School Athletic Association, Ohio Association of Cheerleading Coaches and our Insurance Risk Management policies.
Special circumstances do arise. Discuss any requests, concerns and questions with your Director.
MYFA fields cheer squads that range in size for each squad, each level. We do prefer a cap of 30 girls per squad and a minimum of 6. Larger squads allow for the presence of a team on a football field 100 yards long. The larger squads give the girls a better head start on learning team camaraderie, conflict resolution skills and accepting diversity and fairness. MYFA trains the largest number of cheerleaders in Medina and trains them well.
